On the night of February 23, 1991, barns in Kashmir Valley’s Kunan and Poshpora became torture chambers, where over 100 girls and women were raped, and nearly 200 men were tortured by Indian Army personnel.
Government records show that only 30-40 women came forward about the horrific incident, while others were allegedly encouraged by village elders to hide the truth.
